The Honorable Jackie Speier

Former U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Speier has served the residents of San Mateo County for over 40 years as a County Supervisor, State Assemblywoman, State Senator and member of the U.S. House of Representatives for almost 15 years. She is well-known to the HIP Housing community, having spoken at annual events for decades. Her passion for the unhoused is best recorded by her sleepover at the Maple Street Homeless Shelter to draw attention to the working poor and homeless veterans.

Jackie has established the Jackie Speier Foundation for Women and Children in San Mateo County and seeded it with $1 million from her campaign account. Jackie is focused on what she calls our “local moon shot” with the intent to rid San Mateo County of childhood poverty. She is also a political analyst for KGO-TV / ABC7 in San Francisco.
